How Can You Help?

Annual Gala & Auction: (held every March) 

Donate goods & services for the auction, solicit local merchants for gift cards and restaurant cards, assist with class and student auction projects, help plan the Gala event or assist with the online auction website, attend the Gala (a fun parents’ only night out!) and buy, buy, buy items we are auctioning off to raise money for Glenoaks!

Students solicit pledges from friends, neighbors and family members and jog around the playground to earn money for Glenoaks. Prizes awarded to studentsbased on the pledge level achieved and an end  of the year assembly is offered if we meet our school-wide goal.  

Bottles & Cans Recycling Program: (held monthly)

Drop off your aluminum cans and plastic drink bottles during our monthly morning recycling days.  Each grade level is assigned a month to be in charge!  Parents from each grade level are asked to help the morning of their student’s recycling day.  Volunteers  redeem the recycling at the Glendale Recycling Center.  100% of    the money goes to Glenoaks.  The class who raises the most money takes possession of the Glenoaks Recycling Championship Trophy and gets an end of the year ice cream party.  Check out our Recycling Page for more info!

Ink Cartridge and Small Electronics Recycling Program (ongoing)

Recycle your ink cartridges and small electronics at Swains’ Art Supplies.  Swains’, working in partnership with Cartridges for Kids and GESF, will donate 100% of the recycling monies earned back to Glenoaks! Check out our Ink Recycling page  for more information.

eScrip Program (ongoing)                                                        eScrip is a hassle-free way to raise funds for Glenoaks through   your everyday purchases at participating merchants. Simply visit the  eScrip page and enroll your club cards, credit cards and debit cards. Then, choose Glenoaks as your beneficiary.  For complete details, visit our eScrip & Community Program Page.

Ralphs Community Program (ongoing)

The Ralphs Community Program works just like eScrip, but you must register on the Ralphs Community Program Page to    enroll or re-enroll (must re-enroll  every year).   Type Glenoaks        in the search box and select us as your beneficiary.  Shop away!

Target Redcard Program (ongoing)

Target also gives back to schools!  If you have a Target Redcard,  please add us as your beneficiary.  Go to the Redcard site and   select   Glenoaks.  Our school ID#: is 31506   Enter your name  and Redcard number to complete enrollment.  Don’t have a Target Redcard? You can apply for one here!

Gift Card Sales (order online or purchase Fridays after school)

Purchase gift cards online at shopwithscrip.com and participating merchants will donate to Glenoaks.  Our ID# is: 7EL43E6B7433.    Gift cards will also be available for purchase every Friday after    school till 3 PM.  You pay only the face value of the card and help Glenoaks earn the buck$. Direct Donation (ongoing)

We gladly accept monetary donations year round. All donations are 100% tax deductible.  Make checks payable to GESF and mail to: P.O. Box 9614, Glendale, CA 91226.  Our Tax ID# is: 95-4354751.   In addition, we need donations to finish the renovation  of our library.  Please visit our LIBRARY WISH LIST to see if there’s something you’d like to donate. The list changes often and many    of  the items are books that we feel are important to keep in the collection, so please take a peek at it.

Corporate Matching (ongoing)

Many corporations encourage their employees to make charitable contributions by matching the donation. GESF is a non-profit   entity and therefore, we qualify for your corporate matching program! Not sure if your company offers matching donations?    Call your human resources department or check out this list of companies that match!
